Have a hot bath
Find some favourite bubble bath and allow your body to relax. Bath bombs type bubble bath products are also very effective to release the tension from your tightened muscles. Enjoy a nice, long shower after soaking in for a good half hour.

 Eat energising food

Food often provides the energy pick-up needed when you feel flat, and it helps to make you feel more content. Soup, granola bars, or simply your favourite comfort food will do. The idea is to keep your strength up.

Drink water

After you’re back from a long run, re-hydrate your body by drinking tons of water. Keep drinking water at short breaks.

Stretch well
This frequently neglected part of your workout is critical for promoting recovery and decreasing muscle stiffness. You must exercise a bit right after any workout, even after running. This is the time your muscles are at their warmest. Hold each stretch for a count of 15 to 30 seconds, pushing yourself until you feel a good pull in your muscle without any significant amount of pain.

 Indulge
Go for a spa massage and pamper your tired limbs. Look for a certified deep tissue massage therapist and get a full-body treatment. A deep tissue massage reaches muscle fibers that you aren’t able to target with everyday methods like stretching.

 Sleep

The best way to relax and feel rejuvenated is to take good, long nap. Not only is sleep important for your mental functioning, but it also provides your muscles with much-needed rest and regeneration time.
