Fashion is all about comfort. I do not believe in trying to copy someone. Instead, I would advise people to pick up stuff that defines your personal style and makes you look fashionable

    Dressing up according to the occasion is a must. Wearing casuals for Indian events and occasions is a definite ‘no’. If there is a dress code, just stick by it

    I love draping saris in different styles and I would recommend women to have a good collection of saris in their closet. Be it the kanchivaram silk or the designer saris, they are sure to make you look gorgeous.

    Apart from saris, make sure you also have a collection of salwar suits and kurtas. Now that you get salwar suits in different styles — from anarkalis to ones with modern cuts, one can even make a style statement with these outfits

    As far as casuals are concerned, make sure you stock up on a collection of jeans in different shades of blue and black

    Have a collection of tees in colours of your choice that go well with denim. Tees with different prints and quotes make a cool style statement too

    I prefer the natural look over makeup. However, it is important to keep a concealer in your handbag to hide all those small blemishes

    Use kohl to accentuate your eyes. A line of black kohl is more than enough to add drama

    I love jewellery and prefer sporting junk over gold. Pick earrings, neck-pieces, finger rings of your choice to go with your casual wear

    Don’t forget the correct shoes to complete the look. Wrong footwear sends wrong signals about your fashion sense.
