Clothes, check. Shoes, check. Make-up and hair? Oops! Did you happen to spend way too much time on getting ready for Diwali but totally forgot to decide on how to do up your hair and make-up? We’ve got you covered!

Experts Shailesh Moolya and Sushma Khan, both National Creative Directors of Hair and Make-up respectively from Lakmé Salon, give you step-by-step instruction on how to get the perfect look.

Metallic evening

Face: Use a colour matching your skin tone and add a little shimmer to the base before applying.
Eyes: Apply a blend of gold, brown and bronze from inner corners to out. Attach fake lashes for volume and a touch of drama! Use apricot cream blush on the cheeks and highlight cheekbones to accentuate facial features. Leave brows natural.
Hair: Tie an off-centre high ponytail at the crown and stuff it at the base. Divide it into multiple strands and twist till the strands start shrinking and becomes a ball-like shape. Secure it with a bobby pin. Follow this step for all strands and secure it artistically to form an off centre round shape.

Sculpted day look

Face: Apply high definition, matte foundation. Highlight and contour cheekbones. Highlight brow bone with concealer and highlighter. Outline and fill your lips with fuchsia pink shade.
Eyes: Apply a pale shimmering eye shadow followed by soft brown on the socket line to create depth. Apply kajal in the water line and on the side of upper lash line, followed by 3 coats of mascara for volume. Use a dark shade of brown eye pencil on eyebrow to outline the arch.
Hair: Take a sharp center parting, use setting gel for a sleek and tight look. Secure the entire hair into a low ponytail. Use hair spray to tackle stray hair.
