The morning began on a usual note for 21-year-old Dhrunit, who got up early, went for his morning walk, had bath and performed pooja - as he had been doing all these years. However, the tale took a tragic twist on Tuesday. After offering pooja, Dhrunit went out of his house and climbed eight to nine floors of an adjacent multi-storied apartment, from where he jumped to his death. He was taken to the Civil hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

A resident of Shree Hari apartment in Vejalpur, Dhrunit is allegedly mentally disturbed since childhood, according to his near relatives. However, police are still clueless behind the actual reason.

According to Nayak's relatives the victim was depressed and was behaving very oddly for the last three to four days. "He used to lock himself in his room and talked to himself pretending that he is talking to someone on the cellphone," relatives said.

"Everyone in the family was worried as Dhrunit used to mutter: 'What is the hurry? I am coming!' Seeing his condition worsen, his parents had taken him to a psychiatrist at Jodhpur crossroads a day ago," a neighbour said.

Dhrunit had completed BCom from GLS College in Law Garden and was the only son in the family. His father works in a leading bank. His neighbours say that Dhrunit was a solitary figure and never had any friends.

The chairman of Gopi Vallabh apartment, from where Dhrunit jumped down, informed the police about the incident. The case at first went to Vejalpur police but was later referred to the Satellite police station.
