Woman, paramour arrested for killing father-in-law in Ghaziabad

A woman, allegedly involved in the killing of her father-in-law, was today arrested with her paramour and three other accomplices, police said.

The victim, Hanif, was allegedly killed by Kamar Jahan and her paramour Riyazul with the help three others earlier this month after the woman's father-in-law opposed their relationship, police said, adding that the body and the murder weapon were recovered on February 12 from Ganga Canal here.

Authorities said the duo conspired to kill Haneef and with the help of Rashid, Nadim and Khilafat they murdered him by slitting his throat near Ganga Canal. Riyazul had allegedly paid Rs30,000 each to the three accomplices.

Police lodged FIR on the complaint of victim's family and arrested them today, however Jahan was granted bail as she is pregnant.
