A 56-year-old woman was found murdered here and her gold chain weighing 6.5 sovereigns stolen, police said.
The woman was alone at home when the robbers entered and slit her throat, superintendent of police John Nickelson said.
A sum of rs 25,000 was also missing.
The murder came to light when the woman's husband, owner of a Textile showroom, returned home last evening.
