Woman killed after goods train derails in Uttar Pradesh, rail services hit

An old woman was killed today when four bogies of a goods train derailed in Uttar Pradesh's Fatehpur district, leading to disruption of railway traffic on Howrah-Delhi route for about four hours.

Four bogies of the goods train coming from Kanpur derailed near Kurasti Kalan railway station about 12km from here killing an old woman and her cattle, railway sources said.

Railway officials, who rushed to the site, detached the derailed bogies and the goods train proceeded for its onward journey.
