Police may record statements of executives from Wipro Technologies, who provided the inverters to the Cath Laboratory in VS Hospital. The inverters were reportedly responsible for the fire at the hospital. Police are in the process of finding out the exact reason for the fire. The Forensic Science Laboratory may submit its final report to the police on Tuesday.

Sources in the FSL told DNA that even though the primary report had been given to the police, the final account of the entire incident may be submitted on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the police have commenced investigations. PD Solanki, investigating officer, Ellisbridge police station, told DNA that he is still awaiting the complete FSL report. However, it has been revealed by FSL experts that the cause of the fire was the inverter.

"We want to know the cause and the exact reason of the fire, and for that if there is any need to question Wipro Technologies, we will call them," Solanki told DNA. However, the exact line of investigations will be decided only after police get the full FSL report, he added.

However, the police have commenced investigations and have started to record the statements of VS Hospital officials in connection with the fire. "We have recorded the statement of the resident medical officer, DS Chandana, and few other doctors also," Solanki said.

Chandana, however, had told police officials that the total loss to the VS Hospital due to the fire was around Rs4 crores. The exact details of the loss are still awaited by the police. The police have recorded the statements of the doctors at VS, and may also take the statements of patients and their relatives.
