"I hope these pictures soon become a reality. I think either proper parking facilities should be planned or the roads should only be open for public transport," -Ruhani Parekh, a visitor  "Incredible. I liked the 'Indianess' and 'inclusivity' of the project," Bijal Patel, a visitor.

This is feedback by citizens in the suggestion book at the exhibition titled  "Envisioning the Sabarmati Riverfront", at Amdavad ni Gufa.

Since, this is for the first time that a blue print of the Sabarmati Riverfront project is being presented in pictorial language,  citizens have found a way to get themselves heard and to ensure that the Sabarmati Riverfront project is more people friendly.

The exhibition, which is open till December 19, has seen citizens, celebrities, academicians apart from politician thronging the venue to get a glimpse of how the Sabarmati Riverfront will look once the project is completed.

CM Narendra Modi, who recently visited the exhibition, said that it has helped clear concerns that the project will reduce the space available for citizens and uproot the poor.

Organiser of the exhibition, architect of the project and consultant to the AMC for the project, Bimal Patel wants to include people's suggestion while giving the final touches to the project and so have ensured that a suggestion book is kept at the venue.

"When we conceptualised the project, we had designed it keeping people and activity in mind. The project will give activity area, amphitheatres and libraries, among others. But now that the project is ready for the final stage, we wanted people to suggest improvements,”  said Patel.

In the suggestion book, concerned citizens have also raised the point of inclusiveness of the project and consultation with affected people.
One visitors, Shuchi Kothari said, "I am pleased to see the rendering of the 'ravivari' - Sunday market. I am keen to know how precisely this relocation is envisaged, executed.”
