Viveka's family alleged that Vora had lied and misguided the police as well as media about the nature of his relationship with Viveka and spread the "depression theory".
Deceased model Viveka Babajee’s family has rubbished the claims of her close friend Gautam Vora that they were not in a relationship.
In a press meet at Oshiwara, Dale Bhagwagar, spokesperson for Babajee’s family, produced pictures and email records of Vora and Viveka which implied they were in a close relationship and were planning to get married.
Babajee committed suicide by hanging herself at her Bandra residence on June 25. A statement in her diary read ‘Gautam you killed me’.
Following this, police had summoned Vora for questioning. He told them that he and Viveka were just good friends.
Records of Viveka and Vora’s communication in social networking site facebook and emails sent on her Gmail account were also produced by Bhagwagar. “Vora told the media and police that she was very depressed. He is hiding the truth that could bring to light why Viveka took this extreme step. Viveka’s family wants Vora to tell police the truth about what had happened between them in their last meeting,” he said.
Their chat messages seem to indicate that Vora expressed his love for Viveka. He had messaged that he missed her on several occasions. A mention of his being loyal to her since they met finds place on a facebook status message.
Viveka’s family got access to her Gmail and Facebook accounts with the help of her technical advisor.
It has also been found that Vora had sent some pictures to her Gmail account from his Blackberry.
The pictures of both together were shot at various localions, including Goa where they reportedly met for first time.
