Village Panchayat secretary, 2 others killed by Naxals in Chhattisgarh

Three men including the secretary of a village Panchayat in Bijapur district were killed by Naxalites, police said.

The three men - Modem Narpalli, Morla Ganaiya and Durgam Banaiya, were killed by the Maoists police said, adding, their throats were slit open with a sharp weapon.

Earlier, six men including the deceased were kidnapped by the Naxalites, as they believed them to be police informers, police said.

While the three men were released after verifying their antecedents, but Maoists killed Narpally, secretary of the village panchayat and other two, police said.

Police have registered a case against the Naxalites and are further investigating in the incident.
