Vijay Bahuguna calls on Uttarakhand Governor, discusses trust vote

A day after being sworn-in, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna on Wednesday called on Governor Margaret Alva.

Bahuguna is understood to have discussed matters related to trust vote with the Governor in the wake of the crisis triggered by dissidents led by Harish Rawat, Congress sources said.

Bahuguna, who was accompanied by his wife Sudha Bahuguna and Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress President Yashpal Arya, went to Rajbhavan this evening and spent over half an hour with Alva and her husband Niranjan Alva, Rajbhavan sources said.

Later talking to reporters, Bahuguna said senior most MLA in the assembly would take oath as Pro-tem Speaker.

The MLAs will also take oath and the budget will be passed before March 31, he said.
