Vigil already on, no fresh directive on security: Uttar Pradesh govt

The Supreme Court today stayed the Allahabad High Court's verdict dividing in three parts the disputed Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid site in Ayodhya.

The Uttar Pradesh government today said vigil was being maintained in the entire state and no fresh directive regarding security had been issued in the wake of the Supreme Court staying the Allahabad High Court's verdict on Ayodhya title suits.
   
"We have not seen the order yet. Vigil is already being maintained and no new directive has been issued in this regard," Secretary (Home) Deepak Kumar told reporters here.
       
The Supreme Court today stayed the Allahabad High Court's verdict dividing in three parts the disputed Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid site in Ayodhya.
      
Dubbing the verdict as "strange", the apex court said none of the parties had demanded partition of the land.
