The scuffle between a BJP worker and a VHP member over Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi inviting Muslims to the stage during the three-day 'Sadbhavna Mission' got murkier on Friday, when the VHP targeted city police commissioner Sudhir Sinha accusing him of being biased and politically motivated for representing only one side of the story!

On Thursday evening, BJP worker Narendra Kholia lodged an FIR with Ellisbridge police stating that he was beaten up by one Alpesh Patel at VHP's office in Paldi area. Soon after that, another FIR was lodged by Patel's wife Sonal as a cross-complaint.

The police had stated that Kholia was beaten up by Patel allegedly for taking side of chief minister Modi. The scuffle was a result of heated arguments over Modi inviting people from the minority community to the stage at 'Sadbhavana Mission'.

On the other hand, according to VHP lawyer Deepak Shukla, Patel's wife Sonal also lodged an FIR with Ellisbridge police on the same day. "Kholia assaulted her, held her hand in a bid to abuse, molest and insult her womanhood," claimed Shukla, citing Sonal's FIR.

On Friday, police commissioner Sinha was served a legal notice. When contacted, Shukla refused to give details of what exactly happened at the VHP office by saying that there was some personal issue.

Shukla reiterated that the notice has been given to Sinha as he didn't utter a single word about the complaint lodged by Sonal Patel.

Police commissioner Sinha denied having received any notice by late Friday night.
