Flaying Rahul Gandhi over his remarks on Hindu terror reported by WikiLeaks, BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu today said such "irresponsible and immature" talks were strengthening Pakistan's case and weakening India's side against terror.

"It is Pakistan's long term plan of aiding, abetting and funding terrorism... they want to subvert India," he told reporters in Mumbai.

Naidu was referring to the WikiLeaks cable which said the Congress general secretary had told US ambassador to India Timothy Roemer that growth of "radicalised Hindu groups" which create religious tensions in India posed a bigger threat to the country than activities of groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba.

The BJP leader also expressed concern over remarks by Congress leader Digvijay Singh on slain ATS chief Hemant Karkare and those of home minister P Chidambaram on saffron terrorism.

Congress should introspect whether they are following the footsteps of leaders whose name they are using, Naidu said, adding, Congress ideology today did not represent the party's old school of thought.
