Vedic Navratri Mahotsav in Ahmedabad for the 2nd time

The Art of Living Foundation is organising Vedic Navratri Mahotsav till October 6 at Krishna Farm besides Iscon Mall on SG Highway. This is the second time the foundation is organising Navratri in the city. 

The Vedic Navratri Mahotsav is based on the vedic importance of the nine days and nights of this festival, with each day signifying a new enlightening and the transition from depression, fear and anxiety to victory. 

Six different yagnas and homas in ancient vaidic and  sanatan tradition, continuous chantings of mantras, prayers, and raas garba over these three days form part of this Mahotsav to purify and heal the environment, body, mind and spirit.

Swami Shivchaitanyaji and Veda boys from the Foundation’s Bangalore Ashram will conduct all yagnas, homa and Rudra Puja. Pujas and homas will continue from 7 am to 6 pm. Raas Garba will follow at 8.30 and conclude at 12 midnight. 

Celebration with service

Along with Vedic Navratri Mahotsav, Bhandara will be shared in the form of ‘Annadanam’ with more than 800 under-privileged children. For this purpose, devotees have collected grains from each house to support meals for less privileged children in the city.
