After going 25 days without food, the fathers of Dipesh and Abhishek are now hospitalized and under treatment. However, they have not given up their fight and continue their fast to get justice.

According to their family members, both of them are being given glucose by doctors, but they have refused to take food and end their fast. "We know about their condition, but they are determined to get justice for their slain kids. Doctors are insisting that they eat solid food, but they have refused," said a relative of the Vaghela family.

On Tuesday night at 10pm, both Praful and Shantilal Vaghela were hospitalized after they fainted due to weakness. They were hospitalized at a private clinic near Nirnaynagar by other society members. But they did not end their fast and continued it from the hospital bed. According to doctors, Praful has lost 17kg and Shantilal 9kg during their 25-day fast.

"No government official or doctor from Civil Hospital has visited them yet. But, they are determined to continue their fast till the government assures them about a fair investigation into the deaths of their children," said a relative.

Praful Vaghela and his brother Shantilal, fathers of Dipesh and Abhishek, have been on fast unto death at their house in Nirnaynagar since September 17. According to the brothers, the state government is not doing enough to probe the deaths of their sons, Dipesh and Abhishek.

The two kids were cousin brothers and went missing from a residential school run by the Asaram Bapu's Gurukul in Motera in July 2008. A few days later, their mutilated bodies were found from the Sabarmati riverbed behind the ashram.
