As follow-up of the gangrape incident in Surat, Vadodara police have decided not to take any chances.The police has sent a notice to all tuition classes in Vadodara to notify their class timings. Police will also keep an eye on prime areas in the city where classes are located.

An official with the Vadodara police said that the police has been asked to be alert and see such incidents don’t take place in the city. With reference to this, senior officials in Vadodara sent a notification to all the police stations stating to send details of tuition classes running in the area.

The classes would also be checked if they are registered or not. The DEO has also specified and passed necessary instructions about class timings. The class timings would only be functional between 6am to 7pm.

Talking to DNA, DCP BK Shrimali said, “There are many coaching classes in some areas of Vadodara which start their batches early in the morning. The police patrolling is already been done early in the morning. But now we have passed the instructions to all the police officials to concentrate on the specific areas which are the hub of coaching classes.”
