Finance minister Lalji Varma proposed revenue receipts of over Rs1.44 lakh crore in the next fiscal, with an estimated loss of more than Rs11,000 crore.

The Uttar Pradesh government today tabelled a tax-free deficit budget of over Rs1.53 lakh crore for 2010-2011 in the state Legislative Assembly.
The budget, which was presented by state's finance minister Lalji Varma, proposes revenue receipts of over Rs1.44 lakh crore in the next fiscal with an estimated loss of more than Rs11,000 crore.
The government has proposed no new tax in the annual budget.
