Uttam Chand Sharma has been elected as the president of the Indian Languages Newspapers Association (ILNA) for the current financial year.
 
Sharma was elected to the post in the ILNA elections held in Mumbai last week, an ILNA release said today. VK Chopra and Dinesh Shakti Trikha have been elected as vice presidents. Anil Agrawal, Sandeep Kulshrestha and Krishna Shewadikar have been elected as the general secretaries of ILNA. Ajit Mahatre will be the treasurer, the release added.
 
The other elected executive committee members are HN Cama, Kundan Vyas, Pushpa Sharma, Sunil Dang, MV Bani, Govind Lal Vohra, Rajesh Jain, Ravi Bishnoi, Pankaj Gupta, Girish Aggarwal, Rajeev Vashisht, Satya Prakash Aseem, Ullas Marathe and Gaurav Chopra.
 
The association, formed in 1941, has been promoting development of newspapers and periodicals in Indian languages.
