The discussion on the budget session in the assembly began on a heated note on Wednesday with former BJP and current Congress MLA from Babra constituency Bavku Undhad venting his anger against BJP members for comparing Narendra Modi with Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel.

Making reference to film songs like 'Zor ka Jhatka' and 'Munni badnam hui....' minister of state for legal and parliamentary affairs, Pradipsinh Jadeja, remarked that Gujarat was earlier known as Gandhi's and Patel's state; but now it is known as Modi's Gujarat.

Even people outside the state refer to it as Modi's Gujarat. Congress raised a huge brouhaha over this comparison.

Jadeja said that following BJP's overwhelming victory in municipal corporation, municipalities and district panchayat elections, Congress' state unit head and opposition leader was forced to resign which was a 'Zor ka Jhatka' for the grand old party.

Singing the tunes of 'Munni badnam hui…' he highlighted the corruption issues in which the union government was embroiled.
However, Jadeja was forced to withdraw his words.

Giving a fitting reply to Jadeja's speech, Undhad recalled attacks on Akshardham Temple, Haren Pandya murder and said Congress leaders had at least resigned taking moral responsibility for party's failure in the elections.
