UP government to construct express-way near Dehra

An eleven-member advisory evaluation committee headed by the Industrial Development Commissioner has also been constituted.

The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to construct an eight-lane restricted entry express-way near Dehra on the right bank of the upper Ganga canal at the UP-Uttarkhand border, official sources said here.
    
"The new express-way will be constructed to facilitate traffic movement and to expedite industrial development in the state. The land required for the construction of the express way is already available in the upper Ganga canal," industrial development department officials said.
    
The UP Express-ways Industrial Development Authority has been nominated as the nodal agency for the appointment of a consultant and developer for the project, they said.
    
An eleven-member advisory evaluation committee headed by the Industrial Development Commissioner has also been constituted, they said.
    
Other members of the committee include principal secretaries of law, finance, planning, PWD, irrigation, housing, forest and urban development. The principal secretary of infrastructure development will be its member secretary.
