The BJP may boast of an impressive line-up of leaders in Uttar Pradesh, but the party’s central leadership seems to repose its trust on ‘non-resident netas’ to brighten its fortunes in the upcoming assembly election.
After naming former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Uma Bharti as president of the party’s Uttar Pradesh unit, the BJP has now brought in Sanjay Joshi as an “observer” for the state.
The BJP leader from Maharashtra, has virtually been in political exile for years after a CD showing him in a compromising state was released.
