Union minister Joshi downplays Narendra Modi's claim on Investment

Union minister for rural development CP Joshi today downplayed Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi's claim of signing over 7,300 MoUs involving investment of Rs20.83 lakh crore at the Vibrant Gujarat summit.

Union minister for rural development CP Joshi today downplayed Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi's claim of signing over 7,300 MoUs involving investment of Rs20.83 lakh crore at the Vibrant Gujarat summit.

Talking to media, Joshi asked,"why Modi does not declare the figures of investments involving implementation of projects in the state after signing of MoUs worth lakhs of crores of rupees since 2003?"

Making light of Modi's claims, he said various state governments have been holding such summits and there was nothing new in it.

Joshi was in the city for witnessing the final day's play of Ranji final between Rajasthan and Baroda.

Joshi also criticised Gujarat government for poor implementation of NREG Act and said there were irregularities in utilisation of NREGA fund in construction of Bori band in Porbandar and the centre was investigation the matter.
