Unidentified persons attack CPI(M) office in Kerala

An office of the CPI(M) suffered partial damage as unidentified persons set the building on fire at Taliparamba in the district today, police said.

Stones were thrown at The Taliparamba (South) Local Committee office, which was formally opened by party state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan last month before setting it ablaze in the wee hours, police said.

The CPI(M) suspect Indian Union Muslim League or Popular Front of India workers who had been indulging in clashes with the ruling CPI-M in the politically sensitive area in recent months.
