ULFA militant nabbed in Assam

Acting on a tip-off, patrolling troops of CRPF nabbed the militant from Dalanghat area under Kamalpur police station of the district.

An United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) militant was apprehended by security forces today in Assam's Kamrup (rural) district, official sources said.

Acting on a tip-off, patrolling troops of CRPF nabbed the militant from Dalanghat area under Kamalpur police station of the district.

The militant has been identified as Mukut Kalita alias Pranab of the outfit's 709 Battalion.

Kalita was earlier once apprehended in 2008 and was later released after being in jail for four months, the sources added.
