Two women hacked to death in Madhya Pradesh

An elderly woman and her daughter-in-law were hacked to death by their community members at Jamunia village in Narsinghpur (Madhya Pradesh) over a land dispute, police said today.

The incident occured last night when two persons identified as Govind Mallah and Badri Mallah attacked the two women with an axe while they were asleep.

The duo identified as Triveni Mallah, 22, and Bhagwati Mallah, 45, died on the spot, Gotegaon police station in-chagre PS Grewal told PTI.

A case under section 302 and other relevant sections of the IPC was registered against them and further investigations are on.
