Two pilgrims on their way to cave shrine of Mata Vaishnodevi today died due to heart attack in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

62-year-old Somawati, resident of Kanpur, suffered a cardiac arrest near Behro Ghati in Trikuta hills of Katra tehsil early today and was shifted to a hospital where doctors declared her as brought dead, they said.

Another pilgrim, 65-year-old Bitan Lal Verma, hailing from Madhya Pradesh, died of heart attack near Adh Kuwari, enroute the cave shrine, they said.
