A property dealer, along with his accomplice, was arrested here for allegedly murdering his former business partner a week ago, police said today.

Raju, the property dealer, and his friend Rajesh, a factory worker, were caught for allegedly killing Dinesh Bansal (46) in Swaroop Nagar yesterday, deputy commissioner of Police (North-West) NS Bundela said.

"The arrests came after investigators found that Bansal made the last call to Raju who took him out on the pretext of showing some plot," he said.

Bundela claimed that Raju told his interrogators that he and Bansal were business partners but last year he fell out with him over dispute on sharing commission. He then started his own business.

"Raju claimed that Bansal was creating problems in business and finding no other way he made up his mind to eliminate him," Bundela said, adding Raju allegedly conspired with his friends Rajesh and Mohan, who were in the need of money.

On November six, Raju called Bansal on phone for some business.

"Bansal and Raju along with latter's associates then went together in a car. They closed the windows of car and took him to a lonely place near Burari and killed Bansal," Bundela said. His body was disposed near CNG pump GTK service road by piling garbage on the body.

Efforts are afoot to nab the third accused.
