Two NDFB activists surrendered with arms today before Seema Sashastra Bal personnel in Sonitpur district of Assam where the banned insurgent outfit triggered three blasts on railway tracks killing one and causing injuring 13 others.

The two laid down AK-47 rifle with three rounds of ammunition and a walkie-talkie set at the SSB training camp at Salonibari, official sources said.

The duo were identified as Sukleswar Basumatary and Sansuma Daimary, the sources said.

The NDFB exploded a powerful bomb early this morning derailing the Kolkata-bound 2518 DN Garibrath Express in Assam's Kokrajhar district killing a child and injury to 13 others.

The militants also triggered two other explosions in Sonitpur district, where two more unexploded bombs were recovered from train tracks, the sources said.
