In two separate incidents, two buses of the Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS) lost control and met with accident on Saturday afternoon. While two bikers were reported to have sustained minor injuries in the first incident that took place on Subhash bridge, no injury or deaths were reported for the second incident in Ghatlodia.

According to a source, in the first incident, an AMTS bus, which was travelling from Chandkheda to Kalupur, lost control after the brakes failed on Subhash bridge. The bus driver rammed into two bikes and a car and then ran over a divider. Sources, however, said that the bikers escaped with minor injuries.

In the second incident, the front wheel of an AMTS bus, which was travelling from Thaltej to Nava Naroda, came off and the bus crashed into the gate of a bungalow in Chandralok society in Ghatlodia. Nobody was reported to have sustained any injury in the accident. A source attributed the mishap to the problem with the bearings of the wheel and the poor condition of city roads. However, no complaint was registered in this regard with the Ghatlodia police.
