Three women, including two foreigners, were allegedly molested by unidentified persons at Candolim beach. However, since the victims are not keen on following up the matter, police are finding it difficult to go ahead with the investigation.

The victims did not even register a complaint in this case and the lifeguards of Drishti Special Response Services (DSRS), who were on the beach at the time of incident, lodged a complaint with the police.

All the three victims have reportedly left for Delhi, from where they had come to Goa.

Calangute police inspector Manjunath Desai confirmed that since the victims were not available for the investigation, even the suspects could not be rounded up, as police have no clue about the appearance of the accused.

Desai said that the victims even refused to go ahead with the medical examination and claimed that they were not interested in following up the case.

The three ladies had come on the beach with their male friend on June 10. Lifeguards had advised the group not to enter the water, as it was getting dark and the beach was a secluded place.

In their statement to police, lifeguards says that after a while, they heard some cries for help and they immediately rushed to the spot, where they found three girls, two foreigners and one Indian, scared and crying.
