Three women in Haryana lose vision after operation

Three women have allegedly lost their vision after they were operated upon at a free eye operation camp here, officials said today.

The women identified as Aisha (50), Anwari (75) and Lado (80), were selected by a team of eye-surgeons for operation at the camp organised by Jain Sewa Samiti and Senior Citizens Parishad, at Jain Mandir School on October 24, they said.

The surgery was performed two days later.

The women now allege they have lost their eyesight after the surgery, they said.

JS Punia, civil surgeon said they received a complaint from these women and they would be re-examined by the eye-surgeons soon.
