Three Vaishnodevi pilgrims die in Jammu

Three pilgrims, including two from Maharashtra, have died on their way to the cave shrine of Mata Vaishnodevi near here since last night, police said today.

70-year-old Parvati Bunkar of Maharashtra died due to extreme cold conditions enroute the cave shrine at Adhkuwari in Katra area, while middle-aged Rajinder Singh, also from the same state, died due to a heart attack yesterday.

58-year-old Suman Kumar, a resident of Ambala in Haryana, died this morning en route to the shrine after he suffered an asthma attack, they said.
