Three killed in road mishap in Uttar Pradesh

Three persons were killed when a motorcycle was hit by a truck in Hafizganj area, police said here today.
 
Ram Autar, 28, Vikram Singh, 40, and Prem Singh, 35, sustained serious injuries when the motorcycle they were riding was hit by the truck head-on near Nawabganj sugar mill last night, they said.
 
The trio were rushed to a hospital where doctors declared them brought dead, police said, adding that the truck had been impounded.
 
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, three persons were killed and two others injured when a truck rammed into a tractor after hitting a motorcycle in Shikohabad area of Firozabad district, police said.
 
Jaiveer, 20, and Sunhari Lal, 45, were killed on the spot when the speeding truck rammed into the tractor after hitting the motorcycle on which three persons were riding on Etah road last evening, they said.
 
The injured Sunil, 28, and Pramod, 18, who were riding the motorcycle, were rushed to Agra where the former succumbed to injuries, police said.
 
While Jaiveer was riding on the motorcycle, Sunhari Lal was travelling on the tractor, they said.
 
Agitated with the incident, locals blocked the highway and pelted stones on some vehicles.
