Three killed in road accidents in Punjab

Three persons were killed and another injured in two different road accidents near border town of Dera Baba Nanak.

Three persons were killed and another injured in two different road accidents near border town of Dera Baba Nanak today, police said.
    
Police said Ranjit Singh, a resident of Thather ke village and Kulwinder Singh a resident of Kahalawali village under Dera Baba Nanak police station were returning to their native place on a motorcycle when their vehicle collided with a truck near Shahpur Jajan village in which Ranjit Singh died on the spot, while Kulwinder died on the way to hospital at Amritsar.
    
Police has registered a case against the truck driver, who managed to escape.
    
In another accident, Ranjit Singh, a resident of Mullanwali village was killed and his brother Gulab Singh sustained minor injuries, when their tractor trolley overturned near Shahpur Goraya village, while they were going to Gurdaspur.
