Three killed in fire in Madhya Pradesh

'Three children of a family were killed in the fire which reduced to ashes 80 thatched houses in the shanty late last night,' Dewas district collector Sachin Sinha said.

Three children of a family were charred to death in a fire which reduced to ashes 80 thatched settlements in a slum near posh Moti Bungalow area here, official sources said today.
    
"Three children of a family were killed in the fire which reduced to ashes 80 thatched houses in the shanty late last night," district collector Sachin Sinha said.
    
He said that one kid who has sustained severe burn injuries in fire had been admitted in the district hosptial.
    
The family members of the deceased will get Rs1 lakh each as financial help while Rs20,000 each would be given to 80 people whose shelters have been gutted in the ghetto fire, Sinha said.
    
The fire which broke out little before midnight was brought under after three hours of hard labour put in by the fire tenders of Municipal Corporation and other organisations, the collector said.
    
The deceased kids have been identified as Payal (2), Neha (5) and Ajay (7), while the injured as Vishal.    

The cause of the fire and the damaged caused by it was being looked into, the Collector said.
    
Meanwhile, Congress MP Sajjan Singh Verma, mayor Rekha Verma and Muncipal Corporation chairman Subhash Jain visited the affected area today and took stock of the situation. They met the affected people.
