Three killed as two groups clash in Bihar

'They clashed with lethal weapons at Garuara village yesterday in which three people including the village chowkidar Bhikhari Rai and Manoj Rai were killed,' said superintendent of police Ajitabha Kumar.

Three persons were killed as two groups of people clashed at a toddy shop in Mufasil police station of Bihar's Samastipur district, the police said today.

"They clashed with lethal weapons at Garuara village yesterday in which three people including the village chowkidar Bhikhari Rai and Manoj Rai were killed," superintendent of police Ajitabha Kumar told reporters in Samastipur.

The body of the third person was yet to be identified, he said.

The toddy shop was set ablaze by angry villagers and separate FIRs have been filed by the rival groups, Kumar said.
