Petrol bombs were hurled on the residence of former Union Minister E V K S Elangovan, a strident LTTE critic, here and three persons of a little-known pro-Ealam outfit arrested in connection with the attack.

The attack occurred late last night after Elangovan, senior state Congress leader, had torn down posters and banners eulogising slain LTTE founder V Prabhakaran on the occasion of the outfit leader's birthday at Erode on Friday.
