Three farmers have been booked for violating norms by allegedly burning paddy stubble, a practice which is considered harmful for the environment.
Yesterday, a case was registered against three farmers of Baghapurana here on the complaint of a police official, police said.
Police have been directed by the district magistrate here, Satwant Singh Johal, to visit the fields of the farmers to check the burning of the paddy stubble and also to educate the peasants about its ill effects on the environment.
