Three drown in canal in Rajasthan

One body has been fished out while search for the other the two is on, police said.

Three devotees today drowned in a canal while taking a bath in Phalodi district of Rajasthan's Jodhpur district, police said here.

"The incident occurred this morning when four persons were taking the bath in the canal but slipped into deep water. One of them was rescued immediately by locals present at the spot but three drowned," SHO Phalodi Omprakash said.

One body has been fished out while search for the other the two is on, he said.

The victims were on their way to attend Baba Ramdev fair in Jaisalmer.

The deceased have been identified as Ramswaroop (23), Lumbaram (20) and Mehraram (18).
