Apparently fed up with abject poverty, three sisters in Bilaspur district have allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison.

Apparently fed up with abject poverty, three sisters in Bilaspur district have allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison, police said today. The three siblings, residents of Dakhankampa village in the district, and daughters of one Sushil Satnami were dejected as their father could not find a suitable match for them because of poverty.
    
Monika, 22, Mausmi, 20 and Tulsi, 18, on Friday night consumed poison and informed their parents about the same police said. The trio were rushed to the hospital but were declared brought dead. The sisters were three of the five children Sushil, a labourer had, police said a case has been registered and further investigations are on.
