Three Bangladeshi nationals apprehended by BSF in Tripura

The Border Security Force has apprehended three Bangladeshi nationals from Nandipara, a border village in West Tripura district on the charge of illegally crossing the border, police said today.

The Border Security Force (BSF) has apprehended three Bangladeshi nationals from Nandipara, a border village in West Tripura district on the charge of illegally crossing the border, police said today.

Deputy inspector general (Police Control) Nepal Das said they were apprehended yesterday and identified as Siva Sarkar (30), Sudhir Sarkar (31) and Farukh Mia and a cash of ninety thousand Bangladeshi Taka and voter identity cards were seized from their possession.

The DIG said Sudhir and Farukh were involved with cross-border smuggling and stealing of motorcycles from Indian territory.

Earlier on March 15 last, four suspected agents of ISI were arrested from Agartala airport for not carrying passports.
