Three Ayyappa pilgrims killed in mishap in Kerala

Three Ayyappa pilgrims from Karnataka were killed and 35 injured when a bus overturned near here today.

The mishap occurred when the private bus proceeding to Sabarimala from Bangalore overturned while negotiating a sharp bend at Kottur near Bovikkanam, about 12 km from here, police said.

The victims were identified as Mahadeva (40), Nanjudappa (65) and Ganapathi (72).
    
The injured were admitted to various hospitals in Mangalore and Kasaragod and the condition of two of them, including the bus driver, was said to be serious.
