NEW DELHI: Expelled BJP leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Madan Lal Khurana on Tuesday alleged that senior party leader Sushma Swaraj had links with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and said he had asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to order a probe into the issue.

Asserting that he had documentary evidence to support his claim, Khurana said he had written to Dr Singh on this.

"Leaders like her harmed the party more than anybody else.'' He said that he had written to the Prime Minister on four issues -- Swaraj's links with Dawood Ibrahim and Congress leader Romesh Sharma that helped her become Delhi Chief Minister, allegations levelled against L K Advani by his daughter-in-law, taking terrorists and money to Kandahar and failure to make the Ram temple in Ayodhya despite an agreement with the Uttar Pradesh government.

These issues concern national security, communal harmony and the political set-up of the country and should be probed and the guilty punished, he told mediapersons.

"I will try my best to 'correct' the wrongs in the political set-up till August 15, 2007 after which I would leave politics for good and join yoga exponent Swami Ramdev.''
