Japan plans to conquer the Gujarati palate with Shushi, Congee, Donburi and other such delicious cuisines. The nation that is so far known in the state for its cars and motorbikes is also interested in bringing Japanese cuisine to the state. A high level Japanese delegation paid a visit to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Friday. The delegation was led by Japan government’s economic and trade affairs parliamentarian Yashutoshi Nishiyura.

Sources present at the meeting indicated that apart from the usual discussions the cultural and hospitality aspect of the business were also discussed. “The delegation led by Member of Parliament of Japan also comprised Japanese industrialists, who have their base in other parts of India. Japan and Gujarat has excellent business relation and the former had also twice partnered the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors’ Summit (VGGIS),” informed the official.

He said that the members of the delegation evinced interest in developing Japanese cuisine in Gujarat. The chief minister also invited the industrialists to join the hotel and hospitality management sector in the state for the same. “The delegation also discussed about identifying opportunities for setting up their projects in Gujarat. The members of the delegations showed their interest in developing auto components units in the state,” said the official.
