Steel Authority chairman inaugurates Pipe Coating Plant

Chairman of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) SK Roongta inaugurated the 3-LPE Pipe Coating plant of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) here yesterday.

The Pipe coating plant has been set up in order to explore the niche market of coated pipes.
   
Set up with technical know how from Messers Socotherm SPA, Itali, the unit is in strict compliance with the Pollution Control norms as per European standards, the official sources said here today.
   
Roongta during his two-day visit to Rourkela, visited various units of RSP including the sites where the modernisation and expansion activities were in progress, and discussed with senior officials.
