SSC shatters math myth

In the class X board exams, around 2,07,895 students failed in mathematics, which comes to 75.81%, the lowest result in any subject. This was reflected in the data provided by the GSHSEB. Of the total 8,59,278 students who appeared for the mathematics exam, around 6,51,383 students cleared it.

After maths is Science and technology in which, of the 8,42,730 students who appeared for the exam, 6,73,979 students passed. The number of students failing is 1,68,751.

Of the successful students, 7,661 students have received A1 grade or marks between 91 and100, 51,129 students have secured A2 grade (81 to 90 marks).

Result for English (first language) subject is highest, at 98.40%, among all seven subjects. Of the 38754 students who took the exam, 39,119 students passed. Some students have secured 100 out of 100 marks in four subjects- social science, science and technology, mathematics and English. Around 3,246 students have got 100 marks in mathematics, four in social science, 257 in science and technology and three in English (second language).

Like every year, students of class X who gathered at Sanskar Kendra were encouraged and congratulated by city mayor Asit Vora and chairman of standing committee at Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) Bhupendra Patel. Vora and Patel greeted students with red rose and wished them the best for their future.
