Taking advantage of sealed party plots, several venues in city, which are organising garba, are charging steeply for tickets. On the first night of Navratri, several venues are charging Rs200 for a ticket.

The price of tickets is expected to go up and almost double in the last three to four days.In fact to take advantage of the dearth in venues, several organisers have also not printed the price on passes. This many believe is being done to help them sell tickets at higher rates.

"We have not printed price on the tickets and on day one each ticket will cost Rs200. If we happen to rope in a Bollywood star as our guest, we may increase the price of tickets," said an organiser who has planned a garba event at one of the most in demand venues of the city.

"The first day may not be a problem. But if party plots remain sealed there is a possibility that apart from tickets, one will even get bottled water at thrice the MRP at garba venues," said an organiser.

However, he said that the steep rise in price is not because they want to mint money but because they want to control the crowd. "With less venues, there are chances of chaos. Raising the price of ticket is the only way to prevent too many people from coming to a venue," said the organiser.

But all is not lost as certain venues are selling tickets for Rs100 per person. “We have decided to keep the price of the ticket at Rs100," claimed an organiser.
