Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan has approached the Gujarat high court for recovery of dues totalling Rs90 lakh from Rosebys Interior Private Limited company with whom she had signed modelling contracts.

Rosebys, which is in the business of bed sheets and other products, had signed two contracts with the actress, one in 2008 for a year and other from 2009 to 2011. However, the company failed to pay the total fee of Rs65 lakh of the second contract besides the pending Rs10 lakh from the earlier contract.

"We have filed a petition before the high court as the company has to pay us Rs90 lakh including interest," said Bhadrish Raju, counsel for Khan.

"We have requested the court to order the winding up procedure of the company and make payment of dues," he said.  "The company failed to make the payment as it was going through financial crunch. They did not dispute our claim for dues but they have been unable to fulfil the contract by giving the due amount," Raju added.

Justice KM Thaker has issued a notice to the company and the case is likely to come up for hearing next month.
